Headteacher's Column

Here we are at the end of another school year! It is great to celebrate our hard work again this year as Tîm Llan. The term has been very busy in preparing pupils for the national tests and external examinations; The Urdd Eisteddfod visited Pencoed; learners and staff have been involved a host of extracurricular activities, especially with the school’s Sports Day at Leckwith with Ogwr winning the day and Llynfi winning the school Eisteddfod by just one point!

At the end of term we will be saying farewell to some staff who are moving on to new roles and I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to them for their hard work over the years and I wish them the best of luck in the future:

Mrs Non Hobday- ALN Advisor in Anglesey

  • Ms Rhian Morgan- Deputy Head teacher at Ysgol Gyfun Penweddig
  • Mr Carwyn Price- Physical Education teacher at Ysgol Gynradd Tirdeunaw
  • Miss Bethan Phillips- Head of Music at Ysgol Llanhari
  • Miss Angharad Morris- Mathematics teacher at Ysgol Gyfun Bryn Tawe
  • Mrs Rhian Booth- Science teacher at Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Bro Edern
